Field evaluation of different doses of Rynaxypyr 20SC against the pod borer complex (Helicoverpa armigera, Melangromyza obtusa and Exelastis atmosa) of pigeonpea revealed significant differences among the treatments and the higher doses of Rynaxypyr 20SC (30 and 40 g a.i./ha) were found most effective in reducing the pod damage as well as the pest population. As far as the yield of pigeonpea was concerned, the conventional insecticides were found at par with the higher doses of Rynaxypyr 20SC.
