Abstract

An experiment was carried out during rabi seasons of 2003-04 and 2004-05 at College Agronomy Farm, Anand Agricultural University, Anand to study the influence of FYM, molybdenum and weed management practices on nodulation, root growth and yield in chickpea. The results revealed that application of FYM @ 5 t/ha + molybdenum @ 1.5 kg/ha recorded the maximum nodules/plant, fresh and dry weight of nodules while the maximum seed yield was achieved with application of FYM @ 5 t/ha alone. Among the weed management practices, interculture + hand weeding carried out at 20 and 40 DAS recorded higher nodules, dry weight of nodules and seed yield
