A field experiment was conducted at G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar during rabi season of 2004-05 and 2005-06 to study the effect of tillage practices and seed rates on the performance of large seeded lentil. The results revealed that tillage practices affected yield attributes viz., number of pods/plant, grains/pod and 1000-grain weight significantly. On an average, conventional and reduced tillage recorded 27.3 and 24.6 % higher yield than zero tillage. A seed rate of 30 kg/ha recorded higher yield attributes though the maximum yield was recorded with 60 kg/ha.
