Various components of pest management in pigeonpea such as resistant varieties, use of pesticides, parasitoids, cropping systems, bioagents and biorationals though extensively studied, their integration into a module has rarely been attempted. In the present study, efforts were made to integrate different components into module in on-station experimentation and its subsequent on-farm validation. In on-station trials, ridge sowing reduced Phytophthora blight from 24.9% to 15.8% in a poorly drained field. Spray of metalaxyl MZ also reduced the disease but sorghum or urdbean intercropping did not. However, intercropping of sorghum reduced wilt pathogen significantly. Phytophthora blight at farmer's fields was low. Seed treatment with Trichoderma harzianum reduced F. udum population in on-station trials and wilt incidence in on-farm trials. Chemo based IPM was more effective for pod borer and pod fly management than bio based. Also, chemo-based IPM gave the highest pigeonpea equivalent yield with C:B ratio of 1:2.66. This was followed by bio based IPM with C: B ratio of 1:1.96 against 1:1.68 in farmers' practice
