Abstract

The present study was carried out to study the influence of powdery mildew invasion on rust in pea as these two diseases occur simultaneously in the major field pea growing areas of Uttar Pradesh. The results revealed that spraying of 0.05% carbendazim reduced powdery mildew intensity in varying degrees which, in turn, increased rust in similar proportion. Intensity of rust was inversely related with intensity of powdery mildew in pea. Over all, 0.48% increase in rust intensity was recorded with every one per cent decrease in powdery mildew.q
