Abstract

A field experiment was conducted on rajmash variety PDR 14 during rabi season of 1998-99 and 1999-2000 to study the effect of potassium and sulphur on yield attributes, yield, nutrient use efficiency, nutrient uptake and protein content using three levels of K (0, 30 and 60 kg/ha) and three levels of S (0, 20 and 40 kg/ha) along with a uniform dose of 120 kg N and 60 kg P,O/ ha in each plot. Grain yield, straw yield, and uptake of potassium and sulphur increased significantly up to 60 kg K and 40 kg S per ha. An improvement in protein content was also observed. Maximum nutrient use efficiency was found to be 7.5 kg at 30 kg K ha" and 8.3 kg at 20 kg S ha''.
