Author Biography

  • N Nadarajan, ICAR-Indian Institute of Pulses Research, Kanpur

    Former Director, ICAR-IIPR, Kanpur holds more than 39 years of experience in research and teaching and more than 13 years in administration. He has developed and released 21 crop varieties with a high impact on national economy and identified 42 unique germplasm in different crops. He guided more than 40 students and was involved in formulation of several new academic programs at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. He has been instrumental in popularizing wheat fallow pulse production in northern India and foliar nutrition in increasing pulses production in Tamil Nadu. Under his able guidance, three key policy documents were submitted to Govt. of India and Tamil Nadu for self-sufficiency in pulses production and nutritional security of India. He has been member of several academic committees and task force committees. With more than 200 research papers to his credit, he is also recipient of several national and international Awards.
