Seventy-one genotypes of Desi chickpea were worked under normal and late sown conditions of Rabi-2016-17 and Rabi-2018-19 in Randomized Block Design with three replications. Analysis of correlation coefficient revealed that characters hundred seed weight and number of pods per plant had positive and significant phenotypic and genotypic correlation with seed yield per plant under both the sowing conditions and years. High and positive direct effect on seed yield per plant was revealed by 100-seed weight and number of pods per plant in both the environments. So, these traits can be used as selection indices to improve seed yield in late sown condition as well as timely sown condition.
