Gram pod borer, Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner) is documented as a key pest on chickpea across several parts of the world. Economic threshold level of gram pod borer, H. armigera was evaluated on chickpea variety, PBG 7 at the experimental area of Pulses Research Farm, Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana during 2016-17 and 2017-18. The yield losses were ranged from 8.80-51.20 per cent. The highest reduction in the seed yield (51.20 %) was observed in treatment comprising of three larvae per meter row length. On the basis of regression analysis and gain threshold, the Economic injury level (EIL) and Economic threshold level (ETL) of H. armigera in chickpea for both the years, 2016-17 and 2017-18 was determined as 2.08 and 1.56 larvae per meter row, respectively.
