Abstract

50 greengram genotypes were evaluated during kharif 2011 for the analysis of ten important quantitative traits. Resultantly, five distinct clusters were obtained by using Tocher's clustering method. Among the clusters generated, cluster I and IV were found to be more diverse, and therefore, can be used in greengram improvement programs. Besides this, representative genotypes from each cluster may be selected for future hybridization to recover superior recombinants in advanced segregating generations. No relationship was recorded between genetic diversity and geographical origin.
