Abstract

The present investigation studied the effect of land configuration and nutrient management on the performance of black gram crop. The results demonstrated that a raised bed of 67.5 cm along with application of 50% NPK + 50% N by FYM with seed inoculation resulted in the improvement of growth and yield parameters. The raised bed resulted in better growth and yield, including plant height (35.5 cm), no. of leaves per plant (14.85), no. of branches (9.91), dry matter per plant (28.19 g), similar trend found in other growth and yield parameters. In the case of nutrient management on the application of 50% NPK + 50% N by FYM with seed inoculation recorded the highest plant height (36.41cm), no. of leaves per plant (16.00), no. of branches (11.29), dry matter per plant (29.73 g) and the same results were recorded on other growth and yield parameters.
